Linda Pierce Russell 2018
Florence, SC—Linda Pierce Russell, 69, passed away January 14, 2018, in Florence, South Carolina, after facing cancer with strength and courage for many years.
Linda, daughter of Tom and Delores Pierce, was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. She received degrees at University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University. She worked for many years as a financial planner at Webster Rogers. She encouraged and mentored many younger women in business.
Linda was very active civilly and philanthropically, serving as Treasurer of the McLeod Health Foundation Board, as Junior Warden of St. Johns Church, and on the boards of Florence Little Theatre and of Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, among others.
Her husband Henry predeceased her. She is survived by her brother Bob (wife Pat), stepchildren Richard, Maggie, Henry, Nancy, and Rebecca, their spouses and children, many nieces and nephews, and Gracie, her canine companion.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 30 at 3:30 pm at St. Johns Church in Florence.Please consider memorial gifts to the HOPE Fund of McLeod Health Foundation, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502.
