Pillischafske, Sr.

SPRINGFIELD - Louis Charles Pillischafske, Sr., 83, of Springfield died at 7:02 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home.

He was born on August 1, 1929 in Springfield, IL to Donald Bennett and Lillie May Courtney Pillischafske.

His parents, one son, Paul Pillischafske; one brother Don Pillischafske and one sister Shirley Nelson preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Louis C. (Angie) Pillischafske, Jr. of Westville, IL and Roy and Kevin Pillischafske, both of Springfield; a daughter, Vicki (Ron) Lane of Casa Grande, AZ; three grandchildren, Louis C. (Megan) Pillischafske III, Scott (Cindy) Lane, Terry (Ron) Walker, six great- grandchildren; one brother Ray Pillischafske of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Pillischafske was a United States Army Veterans serving during World War II. He retired in 1993 as an insurance agent at Allstate after 27 years of service. He was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge #3 in Jacksonville, Ansar Shrine, Legion of Honor, American Legion Post #32, Scottish Rite, VFW #755, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Springfield. He enjoyed working crosswords.

Visitation: 4 - 6 pm Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday, January 7, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail.
