Lynn M. Serena 1960 - 2018
Petersburg, IL—Lynn M. Serena, 57, of Petersburg passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Lynn was born on August 27, 1960 in Springfield; the son of Richard and Donna (Stinnett) Serena. Lynn married Kathy Rebbe at St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg on June 26, 1982. Lynn co owned and was vice president of Williamson-Frye Press where he also worked sales In his leisure time Lynn loved competing in NHRA drag racing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his children; Ami (Jake) Teegarden, Joe (Staci) Serena all of Petersburg, his grandchildren Sadie and Lucas Teegarden, his parents Richard and Donna Serena, and a brother Rick (Theresa) Serena of Springfield.
The family will receive guests at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg on Friday, June 8, from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass celebrated by Mnsgr. Thomas Holinga will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 10 am at St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg.
Those who wish may leave memorials in Lynn's name to St. Peter Catholic Church or to the Children's Miracle Network.
