SPRINGFIELD - Michael Patrick Faye, 57, of Springfield, formerly of Dothan, AL, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Springfield.
He was born on December 9, 1954 in Peoria, the son of Gerald Timothy and Carolyn Kuck Faye. He married Katie McManus on April 11, 1987 in Peoria.
He received his BA in Physical Education at St. Ambrose college in Davenport, IA. He taught golf lessons and worked in the pro shop at Piper Glenn Golf Course. He attended Church of the Little Flower and had been singing with a Barbershop Quartet.
He is survived by his wife, Katie of Springfield; parents; two brothers, Patrick Faye of Buffalo Grove and Shawn (Ellen) Faye of Floyd's Knob, IN; six nieces; three nephews and one great niece.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. 5th St. Springfield, with Reverend John R. Ossola officiating.
