Nigel H. Brown
ARION, IL - Nigel H. Brown, 76, formerly of the Decatur, Ill., area, passed away at 9:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.
She was born Tuesday, July 27, 1937, in Harrisburg, Ill., the daughter of George and Mary Gertrude (Ingram) Jenkins.
Nigel's working career had always been affiliated with education, having worked various positions with colleges with the last being as secretary for the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Millikan University of Decatur, Ill., until her retirement.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Mary Holderby of Marion, Ill.; stepson, Skip Brown, and his wife, Kathleen, of LaGrange, Ill.; two step granddaughters, Anna and Claire Brown both of LaGrange, Ill.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jack Jenkins of Marion, Ill., and George and Ruth Jenkins of Brown City, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; other extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Brown; and three sisters: Wilma, Norma and Kathleen.
At this time no services will be held and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
