Marna J. "Jeanne Rohn" Lee

SPRINGFIELD, IL - Marna J. "Jeanne Rohn" Lee, 62, formerly of Rushville, Ill., passed away at 5:09 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born Thursday, June 30, 1951, in Springfield, Ill.; the daughter of the late Amos M. and Mary Eileen Wells Rohn.

She is survived by two sons, Caleb Lee (friend, Rachael Sherwood) and Ryan Lee all of Heyworth, Ill.; three grandchildren: Spencer Riggs, Joshua Sherwood and Kaylyne Mayfield; one great-grandson, Jakob Sherwood; sister, Sue Smith (husband, Jim) of Wadsworth, Ill.; and brother, Larry Rohn (wife, Marion) of Rushville, Ill.

Jeanne graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1969. After high school she worked for Gov. Richard B. Ogilvie and later at Illinois State University in Normal before retiring. She was a member of Westside Christian Church in Springfield. She was active in Prayer Pockets, a prayer group in Bloomington. She was active in Valentines for Veterans and Operation Santa both for U.S. military service personnel overseas. She was a coordinator for the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight. She was a cultural enrichment director at the Christian County Home Extension. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, her sewing circle and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Worthington Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Winkleman officiating. Interment will follow at Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
