Mary Bell "Maribel" Price
CARTERSVILLE, GA - Mary Bell "Maribel" Price, 84, formerly of Springfield, Ill., died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Cartersville Medical Center.
She was born May 19, 1929, in Carbondale, Ill., the youngest child of the late John H. Brumley and the late Myrtle Edith Williams Brumley. She married Walter Hancock in 1945 and later married Bernie L. Price in 1948 in Blytheville, Ark., and remained married until his death on July 13, 1998.
Maribel was a resident of Springfield, Ill., from 1950–2002 where she was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Revenue from 1969–1991, there after retiring. She was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cartersville, Ga.
Mrs. Price is survived by five sons, John G. Hancock (Merilyn) of Jonesboro, Ark., Paul H. Price of Tampa, Fla., David A. Price (Rose) of Katy, Texas, Mark W. Price (Anita) of Albany, Ga., C. Todd Price (Ruth) of Chatham, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Simon Dalseme (Tamara L.) of Marietta, Ga., and Mrs. Matthew (Gail M.) Dessez of Cartersville, Ga.; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Gladys R. Carlson of Pensacola, Fla.; and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with Brother Mark Bauer officiating.
