RIVERTON, IL – Services for Juanita Kasper are being held at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, with funeral services on Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m.
Juanita was born in Jacksonville on March 16, 1934, to Goldie and Harry Lowery and passed away on May 22, 2014.
Juanita was a graduate of Riverton High School in 1953. She had a passion for music and was an accomplished musician. She was a lifelong homemaker and involved in many community organizations over the years such as Booster Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, square dancing, Camper Club, Card Club and Garden Club which afforded her many close friends and great memories. Her greatest achievement and joy was being a mother and wife. We will miss our warm, caring and gentle mother, grandmother and friend.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John A. Kasper; son, Steven Kasper; parents, and two brothers, Everett Lowery and Wayne Lowery.
She is survived by her children: Kathy Kasper, David Kasper, Karen Ivey, Karla Games and Kristina Cox; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
