Mary M. Roth
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Mary M. Roth, 92, died at 1:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at St. John's Hospice. She was born May 18, 1922, in Sangamon County, to Archibald N. and Wilamina "Minnie" Pffafenbach Campbell. She married Harold E. Roth on May 5, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Frasco of Denver, Colo., and Janet Roth-Shaw of Springfield; two sons, John M. (Jill) Roth of Springfield and Thomas J. (Beth) Roth of Winston, Salem, N.C.; four grandchildren, Tony (Elizabeth) Frasco of Spearville, Kan., Natalie (David) Feild of Greensboro, N.C., Bridget Shaw of Springfield and Colin Roth of Winston Salem, N.C.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Raymond and Roy Campbell.
Mary was a member of Church of the Little Flower and St. Therese Guild. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and later in life was active at the Senior Center and with AARP. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles and enjoyed flower gardening.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Rosary: 9 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014, at Church of the Little Flower with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Little Flower; Little Flower School; or Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, Colo.
