Norma "June" Trexler
VANDALIA, IL - Norma "June" Trexler, 84, passed away at 9:56 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2014, at her home in Vandalia.
Services for Mrs. Trexler will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia with the Rev. Harry Kirk officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Ritter Cemetery in Vandalia, Ill.

Norma June Trexler was born March 13, 1930, in Shafter Township, Fayette County, Ill., the daughter of Ernest William and Morna (Bess) Himes. She married Maurice Trexler on Aug. 17, 1947.
June was a homemaker and bookkeeping secretary at former Vandalia Citizens Savings and Loan; a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Women of the Moose, the Democratic Party, and a former member of the Soroptimist International.
She is survived by her sons: Charles Trexler (wife, Joyce) of Vandalia, Robert "Bob" Trexler (wife, Renee) of Vandalia, and Kent Trexler (wife, Andrea) of Rochester; brother, Clarence Himes of New Mexico; sister, Betty Snyder of Vandalia; grandchildren: Beth, Jill, Kevin, Kyle, Jennifer, Jason and Amy; great-grandchildren: Landon, Lauren, Audriana, Bryton, Alyssa and Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Trexler; sisters: Esther Trayler, Evelyn Scott, Bernice Roe, and Verna Stallings; brothers, Marsden Himes, Raymond Lee Himes and Maurice Dean Himes.
