Jacqueline R. "Jackie" Floreth
CHATHAM, IL -Jacqueline R. "Jackie" Floreth, 78, of Chatham and formerly of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.
She was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of George and Rose Capella Carnduff. She married Earl Floreth in 1979 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and he survives.
She is also survived by a son, James A. Wilson (wife, Catherine) of Roscoe; three stepchildren: Sandra Reeder (husband, Charlie) of Mackinaw Island, Mich., Deborah Fell of Golden, Colo., and Brad Floreth (wife, Tammy) of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, George Carnduff Jr. (wife, Millie) of Springfield; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Field and Beverly Garner.
Mrs. Floreth was a graduate of Lanphier High School and a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. Along with her husband, Earl, she resided in the Punta Gorda, Fla., area for many years before returning to Central Illinois.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends following the services. Private family interment services will be held later at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, south of Jacksonville.
