Patsy Howe, 77, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Springfield on January 20, 1934, to Daniel K. and Nell (Combs) Teater. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nell; her step-father who raised her, James McKee and a son, Tim Hanselman.
Patsy was a drug counselor/therapist having worked for the Triangle Center, PORA and Project Return. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren. Patsy felt that her avocation and vocation were both the same.
She is survived by three daughters, Kim Walsh (companion, Jack Schafer), Kari (Randy) Tibbs and Jami Clenin (companion, John Stephens), all of Springfield; nine grandchildren, David, Lauren, Noah, Kyle, Jason, Laci, Katie, Joe and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Amaiya, Dayton and Molly; a step-brother, James (Rose) McKee of Springfield; and the father of her children, Charles Hanselman.
A private family service will be held at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with the Reverend Gary Winkleman officiating. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
