E. Charlotte (Coe) Fitzpatrick

DECATUR – E. Charlotte (Coe) Fitzpatrick, 95, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 15, 2012, with her family by her side.

Charlotte was born May 24, 1917, in Rochester, IL, daughter of William Curtis and Minnie (Lord) Coe. She was the youngest and last survivor of seven children. She was employed by E. L. "Mac" Menefee, Inc. for many years until her retirement. Charlotte was a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Robert "Bob" Fitzpatrick on September 29, 1943. Charlotte and Bob were blessed with two loving daughters: Carol and Susan. Bob and Carol both preceded her in death.

Charlotte was a very special, kind, spirited person. She has always been an inspiration to her family and those who knew her. She was a devoted mother, a grandmother known by the grandchildren as "Mema". She will be greatly missed but her imprint on the lives of her family and friends will continue.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (husband, Bill) McNamara of Decatur; grandsons: Nick McNamara of Decatur, Rob McNamara of Schaumburg; granddaughters: Courtney (husband, Steve) Wegman of Maryland Heights, MO, Sara (husband, Ryan) Lister of Wood River, IL; great-grand-daughter, Claire Frances Lister of Wood River, IL.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Newlin, St. Mary's Hospital and St. John's Home Health Care.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from 10:00 AM until the service time of 11:00 AM in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, IL. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
