Bill L. Pasenko

SPRINGFIELD - Bill L. Pasenko, 79, of Springfield, died at 2:49 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.

Bill was born June 12, 1933 in Taylorville, the son of Joseph and Ida Pasenko. He married Judy Bean on June 28, 1958 in New Berlin.

Bill was a graduate of Taylorville High School and worked as an electrician at Memorial Medical Center for 24 years. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. Bill's biggest passion in life was caring for the animals in his neighborhood, especially the stray cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Pasenko of Springfield; son, Michael (wife, Anita) Pasenko of Flagstaff, AZ; one daughter, Debra Easley of Springfield; four grandchildren, Athena (husband, Matt) Harmon of Chatham, Aaron and Alex Easley, both of Springfield, and Tyler Pasenko of Flagstaff, AZ; and one great-grandchild, Shelby Harmon.

Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date.
