SPRINGFIELD - Ann Keys, 85, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Gary, IN on December 12, 1927, to Charles and Rose Ewing.
Ann was formerly a resident of Washington Plaza, later residing at Heritage Health Center. As a young woman, Ann was a model and actress. For many years she managed a hotel next to Disneyland in California. Ann loved to read, crochet, play bingo and visit with friends. She was recently elected President of the Resident Council at Heritage Health Center where she felt her friends and caregivers were more like family. She was a wonderful mother and friend.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Sheri (Max) Turner of Riverton; son, Jim (Ruth) Keys of Tustin, CA; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 18, 2013, at Heritage Health Center First Floor Living Activity Room, 900 North Rutledge, Springfield. Friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Health for the Resident Council/Activity Fund.
