SPRINGFIELD - Bernadine Lawler, 85, of Springfield, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on May 2, 2013, at the Villa Healthcare East.
Bernadine was born May 2, 1928, in Middletown, the daughter of Frederick W. and Edna E. Curtis Templeton. She married Thomas F. Lawler on June 4, 1949, in Springfield; he preceded her in death.
Bernadine graduated from Lanphier High School in 1946. She spent most of her life caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of Red Hats and several garden clubs. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marsha Little; one sister, Doris LaFauce; and three brothers, Burneil, Delmar, and Marvin Templeton.
She is survived by one daughter, Michele L. Winkler of Durham, NC; four grandchildren, Megan Ed, Amy White, Casey Winkler and Riley Winkler; four great-grandchildren, Kiersten Little, Katelyn Jones, Drew Jones, and Ellie White; one sister, Annette Downing of Springfield; nephew, David Lawler; niece, Karen Buck; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
