Mary L. Behl
SPRINGFIELD – Mary L. Behl, 85, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born December 15, 1927, in Duluth, Minn., the daughter of Eugene E. and Mary Clare (Trambley) Cronemiller. She married George J. Behl on May 28, 1951, in St. Paul, Minn. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of St. Catherine's School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minn., and a 1951 graduate of St. John's School of Anesthesiology in Springfield. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary LaFore Lock Post 755, VFW Auxiliary 0032, and Purple Heart Auxiliary. She was a former volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House.
She is survived by her son, David (Micki) Behl of Vermont, Ill.; two daughters, Debbie (Delbert) Perry of Springfield, and Mary Kay (Ken) Allen of Aurora, Colo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10:30–11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Agnes Church.
Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Agnes Church. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
