Amolee Fitzgerald MCINTYRE Obituary



Amolee Fitzgerald McIntyre, 83, of Springfield, formerly of Clinton and McHenry, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her home.

She was born on May 9, 1930 in Munger, MO, the daughter of the late Robert and Lora (O'Bryan) Fitzgerald. She married John Owen McIntyre on Sept. 3, 1953 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1997.

Mrs. McIntyre was a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Church Women United, and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Dr. Priscilla (husband Jim) Brandon, Marissa (husband Lonnie) Buresh, and Nancy (husband Daniel) Keaster; a grandson Trevor Keaster; a granddaughter Megan Keaster; siblings Jean (husband Donald) Hodges, Douglas (wife Nina) Fitzgerald, Bryan (wife Verla) Fitzgerald, and Nina Ruth Brady, and 15 nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Kathleen Grueber, Rosalie Self, and Rowena Harrelson, a brother Robert D. Fitzgerald, 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Springfield, with a reception to follow at the church. Per her wishes, cremation rites will then be accorded.
