Joseph A. "Joe" Mainwaring
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Joseph A. "Joe" Mainwaring, 51, of Springfield, died on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his residence.
Joe was born on October 20, 1963 in Chicago the son of William and Joy Mainwaring. He married Elizabeth Teer on December 18, 1994.
He worked for Griffiths Construction for 18 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Kansas City Chiefs football.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Springfield; daughter, Emily; stepson, Henry Marbold of Rochester; mother, Joy Mainwaring of Collinsville; two brothers, Rick Mainwaring of Springfield and Steve Mainwaring of Farmersville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a memorial service at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.

Joe, you would have been so proud of your KC Chiefs this year they won the Super Bowl! I know you were watching from heaven! Rest In Paradise my good friend. Miss you so much! The kids said they miss their uncle Joe.

Liz we are so sorry for your loss. we came by today to see you and Joe and that is when we heard the news. I'm glad we got to be there a few weeks ago. We love you and will be here for you, if needed

Joe was a wonderful friend to my son, Denny. They had a lot of fun together and made a lot of great memories that will last forever. My prays are with his family and with Liz in this difficult time. Joe you will be truly missed.

Joe was a wonderful friend and part of our family. We will never forget who he was, he taught my children what a promise was and kept his.
