Agnes R. Edge
GIRARD, IL - Agnes R. Edge, 93, of Girard, Ill., passed away Sunday April 26, 2015, at Pleasant Dale Place in Girard, Ill.
Agnes was born April 6, 1922, in Snap, Ky., a daughter of Alfonzo and Inez (Paris) Skaggs. She married Harvey L. "Roy" Edge Sr. on Nov. 16, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo.
Surviving Agnes are her daughters, Shirley J. Worth of Virden, Ill., and Debra S. (Butch) Probst of Palmyra, Ill.; sons: Harvey "Leroy" (Nancy) Edge Jr. of Springfield, Ill., Darrell D. (Elaine) Edge of Hannibal, Mo., and Mark "Randy" Edge of Girard, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. "Roy" Edge Sr.; one grandchild, Don Earl Edge; an infant great-grandchild; and two brothers, Leslie "Red" Skaggs and an infant, James Skaggs.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home in Girard, Ill., with funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, also at the funeral home with Chaplain Terry Link officiating. Burial will be at Girard Cemetery in Girard, Ill.
Memorials may be made to: The American Heart Association or The Girard Rescue Squad.
