I have such fond memories of growing up together, swimming at Clear Lake, riding in my dad's pickup back to Sedro when he got off work at the shake mill, playing at Grandma Tressie's house, exploring her basement (it always seemed so mysterious and scary).
Over the years as we grew up and started our own families, we spent less and less time together, as is often the case. But we will always have our cherished memories.
Terri had a great laugh -- even when things were difficult. I also remember the great talks we had about God. She knew that He was always near, even when she couldn't feel him. At one point, she opened her heart to Jesus and received Him as her Savior.
I'm trusting that she's with Him now -- enjoying her new body free of pain and experiencing the unimaginable joys of heaven - her eternal home. It's so good to know that death isn't the end of the story. In many ways, it's just the beginning -- thank you Jesus!
One day I'll see my dear cousin again, in a much better place. Until then, I'm thankful for wonderful memories and appreciative for the time we had together.

Dear Ter,
I am so sad tonight. I listened to a phone message that you left me and I miss you, I miss your voice. I love this picture of you and dad. Mom is in Idaho visiting Bryar and Tucker, the two grandsons that you love more than anything in the world. I miss that you aren't with them and her. Thinking of you always.
Love You, your heart sis Sue

Dear Ter,
Grandma Tressie was a hair stylist.
Mom said one day she found you and me at the top of the stairs and you had cut off my bangs. Mom said, "Ter was trying to be a stylist like grandma." Mom was mad that you had scissors and cut my bangs. Mom also said, "Over the years the picture has made us laugh!" We like this picture, you are beautiful, it made mom and me laugh.

Dear Ter,
Today mom and I took a walk and thought about you. We feel like you are watching over us on our walks. We talk about the beautiful spring shrubs, flowers and trees popping out and think of special memories of special times with you. Mom loved the days when you and I were under five at home with her until we both went to kindergarten. She absolutely loved that time with us. Thinking of You with Love. You are forever in our hearts. Sue and Mom

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this. Too soon. I know Sharon and family I am saying nothing you have not heard or thought. We are thinking along the same lines--deeply saddened at the loss of a lovely, caring person. I worked with Terri at the college and could always depend on her to make sure students left her window happy, educated, and ready to go on to their next steps. She always took the time with them, and remembered their names for years no matter how far in-between visits there were. Terri helped build the student community at Skagit Valley College by being a welcome face and supporter of their new starts. You are in my prayers. Grieving cannot be hurried, but it can be shared. There are so many of us sharing your grief now, hoping you can soon find some peace in celebrating Terri's life a life lived with great love for her family and friends.

I have many fond memories of playing with Terry when we were children. I ran across her occasionally at SVC and it was like the years between our last visit were non-existent. I'll be praying for her family who must be missing her terribly right now.

Dear Ter,
Mom and I are crying tonight as we look at pictures of you. You lived with mom daily the last 14 years of your life. You were mom's best friend. You two were inseparable! Please don't worry; your family is taking good care of mom for you.
Mom talks about you all day long.... what you thought about things, what you watched together, your funny humor, your love for your family, your smile, your great memory, the way you made her oatmeal (with diced apples), what you did at the gym, how you both loved watching Bryar, Tucker and Erik's sporting events, and many other things. As a sister, you gave me so many gifts. As we grew-up together in Sedro-Woolley, you were always by my side:
You loved our kittens and our puppies with me.
We played with Rick and Barb, our cousins, in Grandma Tressie's and Grandpa Frank's little swimming pool.
We played on sand bars in the middle of the Skagit River while dad and Pat fished and mom and Nancy watched the kids.
We picked (and ate and threw) strawberries at Mapes Berry Farms.
We learned to swim side-by-side with Barb, Rick and Mrs. Walley in the chilly waters of Clear Lake.
After a day at Clear Lake, you, Barb, Rick and me rode in the back of Uncle Rays very cool, mint condition red Chevy truck. We asked uncle Ray to take the corners sharp as we held on tight!
You taught me how to hold on tight when Blacky, our horse, reared-up on his back legs, and together we fell off without getting hurt.
You gave me the gift of two precious nephews, Chuck and PJ who are wonderful brothers.
You gave me two precious great nephews, Tucker and Bryar, Chuck's sons, who adored you and grandma.
You beamed when you were with your Idaho and Pullman families.
You and mom were with me when my precious son Erik was born. You and mom cried with tears of joy as you became a new aunt.
You and your sons, Chucky and PJ cared for grandma Roughton so she could stay in her home at the end of her life.
Mom and I know you are in Heaven with our family, especially in the arms of mom's loving dad, grandpa Frank. Your family is holing on tight, we will take care of each other, we will never forget you, and we love you so very much.
Your sister Sue and mom Sharon

I was so sad to hear of Terri's passing when I came to work today. She was always available to help me if she could and I don't ever remember her without a smile and a pleasant "Hello". She was such a wonderful person here at Skagit...I am glad I knew her.

This is truly heartbreaking. I, along with so many others, very much loved and adored Terri. She was one in a million and meant so much to me, my heart, and my life. She was my mentor, my other half, my SVC work partner, my "giggle so hard until we peed our pants" person, and my very dear friend for all these years. It just doesn't feel right or even a little bit fair that she's not here with us in the way that we want her to be. Though I have no doubt that she will be an angel to all of us as we go through life and there's a bit of comfort in knowing that very thing. There is just no way that God would ever make someone that spirited and spunky and not put their good heart to use for eternity. Who else would stir up some "good trouble" the way in which she did, cackle as loud as she did, or pull for the underdog as she did time and time again? Absolutely no one. I don't know that Terri ever really knew how huge and how precious of a gift she was to my life and to so many others. I recall trying to tell her a 100 different times but she would just giggle and quickly change the subject to what was happening on Kelly & Regis or one of her favorite soap operas! HA! Oh how I love you, Terri Parker and I thank you for sharing so many beautiful times with me. I am sending so much love to all of your beautiful family and friends! Sharon, Sue, Chuck & Ang, P.J. & Kelli, Bryar and Tucker - bless each and everyone of you! Hold each other extra tight through this difficult time and know that she is holding you too! Love you guys!
Remembering Terri always. Deepest sympathy - Emi

I will always be grateful for having known Terri. I enjoyed working with Terri at SVC throughout the years and I always knew that her heart was with the students and helping them to find their way through the system in the kindest and gentlest way possible. She had an amazing smile that said "It's going to be ok, we'll get this worked out for you." My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to her family and dear friends; I share in your loss. Terri was a sweet and caring person and she will be dearly missed. Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow. -R.S.Stevenson

I am so sad to hear of Terri's passing. We became really close when I worked a summer in the counseling office at Skagit Valley College. She was always making me laugh. She could find humor in anything. During that time I was a broke college student and she was always willing to help me. She would just hand over her car keys and let me drive her car. I even passed my driving test with her CRV. Terri has left many wonderful memories that I will never forget. I was truly fortunate to have met such a wonderful person. May she rest in peace.
