Cecil passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve.
Cecil was born Feb. 2nd, 1931 in Opportunity, WA. He was 1 of 7 children born to Lilly and Frank DuPey.
Cecil lived most of his life in Skagit County. He was a school teacher
and an excellent carpenter who built his own home in Alger.
Cecil played the guitar and mandolin and he also loved to sing and write songs. He was a member of the "Old Time Fiddlers Assoc." and also the "Old Time Country Music Assoc."
Cecil was a mtn climber who climbed Mt. Rainier twice and also a hiker who hiked down the Grand Canyon.
Cecil enjoyed reading about history, gardening and sitting around the campfire playing music with friends.
Cecil had a loving, kind, gentle soul who had many friends.
He is survived by his brother Ron and wife Marg of Idaho. He also leaves behind the love of his life Beulah Arrington of Burlington, her family and special granddaughter Ashley Caudle (aka "Peaches"); also ex-wife and friend Jeanette DuPey of Spokane and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 3 children and grandchildren.
No services are planned. A Celebration of Cecil's life will be announced in the Spring.
