DENNIS TOMAS HOINES(1940 - 2013)

Dennis Tomas Hoines passed away January 15, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA.

He was born August 13, 1940 in Stanwood, WA.

Dennis served in the US Army from 1962-1965, while in the Army he met his wife, Siegred Lovette, and they married on January 23, 1965 in Orleans, France. The two of them spent their honeymoon in Rome.

Dennis was the co-owner with Jim Kirschman of DK Dennis & Associates in Mount Vernon, WA. The business did data processing for various companies around the state. Later, Dennis and his business partner purchased Loggers Landing in Concrete, WA. Dennis retired in 1998.

Dennis loved any activity that got him outdoors, from gardening and landscaping his property, to fishing and golf. He was active in sports. He played basketball in high school and college , and continued that active lifestyle by playing softball and volleyball later in life. Above all, Dennis loved to organize family get-togethers and other various parties and picnics for both family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by, his mother, Helen Soderlind; his brother, John R. Hoines; and his father, Tomas Hoines.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Siegred (Lovette) Hoines; his two sons, Josh Tomas Hoines and his wife Stephanie Hoines, Joel Maxfield Hoines and his wife Jennifer Hoines; his little mother, Coela (Maxfield) Hoines; his sisters Marie (Hoines) Simonseth and Susan (Hoines) Wykoff; and his grandchildren Samantha R. Hoines, Tomas (Max) Maxfield Hoines, Denin Waen Hoines, and Michael Derek Hansen.

Viewing will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 Noon until 5:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, 11:00 am at Hawthorne Memorial Park 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon, WA. Following the graveside service a celebration of life reception will take place in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
