GERRY ADDERLY(1947 - 2009)

Gerry Adderly was born May 10, 1947 to Hendrikus and Gerarda Weyers in Hillegom, Holland. She passed away peacefully at her home in Mount Vernon on February 19, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Gerry was the fifth born of seven children, two sisters and four brothers. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1955. They made their first home in Brookings, South Dakota on May 7, 1955, where they lived until September of 1956 when they moved to Mount Vernon.

She grew up working on the family bulb farm before and after school as well as the summers. She attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1965, then moved to Seattle for a taste of the big city. She later returned and married Bill West of Mount Vernon in 1969. They had two daughters together, Holly and Abby. She worked for Contel Telephone Company for many years, raised her two daughters and created life lasting memories for them to share. She also played in local Softball and Bowling Leagues for fun.

In 1988, Gerry met Mike Adderly and started a wonderful life with him and his three children; sons Michael and James, and daughter Candace. She began a career in real estate and started working at Windermere Real Estate in 1992; she met Bill Krieger and became business partners with him in 1995. They were a successful partnership and great friends. On April 10, 1996 Mike and Gerry married in Reno, NV (their favorite getaway). Her years with Mike were some of her best including family camping trips and special getaways; Sunday drives and morning coffee; 2 a.m. Reuben sandwiches and strawberry shortcake! Some of her and Mike's favorite excursions were Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Eastern Washington, Hearts Pass and of course, annual trips to Reno. She made a special trip with Mike, her two daughters and two nieces to New York City and Boston for her 60th Birthday in 2007.

Gerry is survived by her husband and friend Mike Adderly; daughters Holly West, Abby (Don) Jackson, Candace (Brian) Pique; sons Michael (Aleene) Adderly, James (Sarah) Adderly; sisters, Anne (Pat) Stoeck and Truus Grandbois; brothers, Hank (Pansy) Weyers, Willy (Janice) Weyers, and Ron (Linda) Weyers; mother-in-law Marilyn Adderly; grandchildren, Tabitha, Serena, Joshua, Taelor, Riley, Gracie, Annaliese, Bryce, Dylan, Ethan and Cade; dear friends Barbara (Dick) Terwilleger, Bill Krieger, and Sarah Urbick; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. And of course her little four legged pal, Dixie the Pom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kees and father-in-law Bob Adderly.

All that knew Gerry loved her quick wit and sense of humor. She made family and friends wherever she was. She was a mentor and mother; a wife and friend, and she will always be loved, missed, cherished and respected.
