James (Jim) Ralph Hancock died peacefully at Skagit Valley Hospital after spending his last days with his loving wife, children and grandchildren at his side.
He was the second son of two children, born to Maynard Clifford and Lillian Maxine (Robinson) Hancock on June 19, 1943, in San Diego, California. The family moved to Yucaipa, CA in 1960, where Jim soon met the love of his life, Kathleen "Cas" Oliver. He and Cas were married on October 22, 1961. They had three children. He and Cas relocated to Cas's native Western Washington in 1985, and to Concrete in 2002.
Jim was a lifelong avid reader. His career was as a retail meat-cutter, followed by working alongside his wife in the Drinking Water industry. He enjoyed owning a Pinball Arcade/Pool Hall in San Bernardino, CA in the late 1970's. He liked playing pool and loved roller skating and playing tennis with his children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; son, Jim, Jr. and his wife, Carla Hancock, of Concrete, WA; daughter, Tracy Lee (Hancock) Sisk, of Shoreline, WA; former son-in-law, Michael Sisk; grandchildren, Amanda Hancock and her partner, Kevin McCracken, of Springhill, FL, Jaimee Hancock and her partner, Frank Rolon, of Atlanta, GA, Vanessa Cadiz and her partner, Ted Saldavar, of Yucaipa, CA, Michael Jr. and his wife, Mara Murrietta, of Beaumont, CA, Jessica (Williams) and her husband Brien Edick, of Reno, NV, Jordan Bradley and his wife, Nicole Sisk, of Bothell, WA, and Kiona May Maxine (Sisk) Daury, of Seattle, WA; great-grandsons, Kasey McCracken and Isaac Sisk, and great-granddaughter, Lily-Anne Daury; father, Maynard Hancock, age 96, of Sacramento, CA; brother, Maynard Kenneth "Ken" and his wife, Debra Hancock, of Sacramento; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their extended families, both Robinsons and Hancocks.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Ann and mother.
A private memorial service will be held in the spring.
