Jovita (Hernandez) Reyes was born September 15, 1928, in D'Hanis, Texas. She departed from her home to join the Lord and her husband in heaven on May 26, 2013. She was surrounded by her family. Jovita resided in Burlington, WA for 46 years with her husband, Alcario Reyes, whom she married on April 15, 1946.

Jovita was a nursing assistant and later became a homemaker. She liked caring for her family, going to church, cooking and watching sports.

Jovita leaves behind 11 children: Estella Reyes (San Antonio, TX); Olga Reyes (Austin, TX); Robert Reyes (Sedro Woolley, WA); Mario and Hilda Reyes (Salem, OR); George and Isabel Reyes (Burlington, WA); Martha and Jesse Ruiz (Everett, WA); Joe Reyes (WA); Sarah Reyes (Burlington, WA); Josie and Patricia Nichols-Reyes (Conway, WA); Christina and John Perales (Lake Stevens, WA); Melissa Reyes and Raul Velasco (Burlington, WA); 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, May 31 at Hulbush Funeral home in Burlington followed by a private graveside burial. Special thanks to Hospice of the Northwest and the Bradford House.
