Marlys Elaine Warrington, 80, passed away peacefully after a brief hospital stay and surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Everett.

She was born on November 24, 1933 in Beresford, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Agnes (Espeland) Voegeli.

Marlys and husband, Jerold were self-employed grocers in Lynnwood for 30 years. They retired to Concrete and recently moved to Everett.

She was a wonderful, kind woman who always had a smile on her face. She loved music and played both piano and the accordion. A highlight of her day would be to listen to her family sing along with her as she played.

Marlys is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jerold Warrington; sons, Terry Warrington (Cheryl), Russ Warrington (Chris); daughters, Vicky Kilburn (Mark), Julie Warrington (Tom Cohee); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lloyd and sister Arlene.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm, at Lemley Chapel with Pastor Tom Ross officiating, followed by an inurnment at Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete, WA. There will be a fellowship gathering at Mt. Baker Presbyterian Church, Concrete following the inurnment.

Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
