Melissa Sue Ammons, 26, passed away at her home in Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.

She was born on September 12, 1987 in Mount Vernon, WA.

Melissa had a very big heart, kind smile and a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family and her dog Bella.

Melissa struggled with epilepsy for most of her life but was very strong and never let it define her.

She is survived by her Grandpa, Tom Olsen; Grandma, Sue Ammons; Father, Steve Ammons; Mother, Rhonda Ammons; Older sister, Rachael Kowalczyk and her husband Tory; Younger brother, Dakota Ammons and his wife Jordan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Great-grandparents, Roy and Pearl Ammons and Pat and Mable Hedden; Grandfather, Gene Ammons and Grandmother, Ardith Olsen.

The family requests that memorials in Melissa's honor be made to: Epilepsy Foundation Northwest, 2311 N 45th Street, #134, Seattle, WA 98103-6905.

A Graveside Inurnment service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Roy Swihart officiating.

Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
