Pat Gough, 83, formally of Burlington, Washington died peacefully on January 5, 2013 in Hanford, California. She was born on February 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Elsie and William Castello.
In 1947 she married Van Van Natta, and followed him to the Pacific Northwest due to his career as an industrial carpenter. They had five children and were divorced after nearly 20 years. After that, Pat put herself through college while working and supporting her children. She eventually worked for the State of Washington as a fair hearings coordinator and fraud investigator for DSHS. She retired after 20 years.
Pat met and was happily married for 20 years to Richard Gough; he loved to call her his Rock. She was involved in the formation of the Oasis Teen Center, active in the Burlington Eagles Club where she served as President, and served on the Burlington Senior Advisory Board as well as a volunteer coordinator at the center.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents; sisters, Elaine and Lucille; and brother, William.
She is survived by her children, Stephen and Sue Van Natta of Algona, WA, Michael and Mercedes Van Natta of Hanford, CA, Valora and Dan Sandstrom of Anacortes, WA, Rick Van Natta of Burlington, WA, and Lisa Gehlen of Marysville, WA; grandchildren, Josh (Rebecca) Van Natta, Liora (Sean) Llewellyn, Michael (Kelly) Van Natta, Mechell (Steve) Rossi, Maggie Mendum, Alex Mendum, Ian Van Natta, Neal Fisher, Ashley Gehlen, and Christopher Gehlen; and great-grandchildren, Sigrid Van Natta, Cora Llewellyn, Caitlin Rossi, Kaila, Mikai and Kaiu Van Natta, and Landon Cleary.
Pat will be scattered off of her son Stephen's boat, "Tilth", in the Puget Sound where she spent many days crabbing and fishing.
