Shirley Ann Ruddell passed away peacefully at the age of 77, on June 24, 2013 in Mount Vernon, Washington.
Shirley was the daughter of Claude and Bertha Fagerberg. Shirley was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lived in Minnesota until the age of nine when her mother divorced Claude Fagerberg and they moved back to Kirkland, Washington, where her mother married Lowrie Richard Kelly.
Shirley graduated from Lake Washington High School in June 1954. She enlisted in the United State Air Force in Kirkland Washington and was station in Wyoming, where she married her husband Richard Ruddell in Laramie Wyoming in 1955. Upon being honorably discharged from the Air Force, she moved back to Kirkland, Washington and then moved with her husband to Diablo, Washington with Seattle City Light Hydro Project located in Diablo, Washington, where they resided for over 30 years. Upon retirement she and Richard relocated to Mablemount, Washington and then she resided in Mount Vernon for the last 19 years.
She had four children Lowrie Richard, LaRena Ann, Lanette Renee, and Loren Russell.
She was preceded in death by her daughter LaRena and her son Loren (Rusty) Ruddell and both her parents Bertha and Lowrie Kelly and her husband Richard Ronald Ruddell.
Shirley leaves behind two children her son Lowrie Richard and daughter-in-law Shannan and daughter Lanette Renee; grandchildren: Jeff Albright, Sadie Laswell, Lacey Ruddell, Leigh Ruddell; son-in-law Andy Fusman, Lowrie Ruddell, Lynndy Ruddell and Charles Ruddell; great-grandchildren Skye Ruddell, Tarah Foster and Evan Fusman; and one great-great-granddaughter Shayla Ruddell.
Shirley will be deeply missed by long time friend Jim Petrisor of Mount Vernon. Shirley had many long time friends in Mount Vernon that will greatly miss her. Shirley was known for her great sense of humor and her family and friend will indeed miss that.
Her graveside service will be at Union Cemetery in Sedro Woolley Washington on Monday July 1 at 2 PM.
