Sue Lynne Freeman passed away on June 24, 2013.
Lynne was born in West Los Angeles, California on March 3, 1940, the daughter of Maurice and Esther Murdock.
After attending University High School Lynne continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, graduating in 1959.
After college she returned to Los Angeles where she held positions with high profile firms such as Saks Fifth Ave., John Cottrell Co. and Chanel in Beverly Hills. It was during this time that she developed her design talents that Lynne carried with her the rest of her life.
In 1974 Lynne met John and a year later they were married and made their home in Marina del Rey, California until moving to Mount Vernon, Washington in 1994. Lynne loved the NW especially the drive across the flats to The Stall in La Conner, Washington where she so enjoyed working for several years.
Lynne loved traveling and made several trips to Southeast Asia trekking with her long time friend Gerard Zeegers through Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and India. Her home is filled with memories from those trips that were such a highlight of her life.
Lynne will be greatly missed by her husband John, son Mark Ellis of Temecula, California, step-son Phillip Freeman and granddaughter Liana Freeman of Trinidad, California, as well as sister, Connor Tucker of Cortez, Florida, Judy Rankin of Tigard, Oregon and niece Nicole Liepman of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of wonderful and much loved friends.
Lynne's life was an art of living. She believed that everything in life should be beautiful.
A remembrance of Lynne's life will be celebrated in July.
