Theo Denny, age 90, a longtime resident of Marblemount, passed away June 7, 2014, at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.
He was born April 29, 1924 in Marion, North Carolina, to James and Addie (Proctor) Denny, moving to Marblemount at a very young age.
Theo served as a Medic in the Army during WWII
. He was also a Medic at Skagit Speedway for 20 years. He worked at Skagit Steel for 20 years, then logged for the Martin Brothers. He attended the Marblemount Assembly of God Church.
Theo is survived by his four sisters, Lola Johnson, of Birdsview, Dorothy Fink, of Sedro-Woolley, Gladys Stringfield and her husband Millard, of Sedro-Woolley and Marybell Hedman and her husband Carl, of North Dakota, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marjie Binschus, brothers, Kenny and Raymond Denny.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00, Friday, June 13, 2014, at Lemley Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Teeks of Upper Room Fellowship of Concrete, presiding, followed by a committal service at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley. A time of visitation will be available on Thursday from 9 to 5 at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
