CECELIA C. JASPER

1926 - 2011

Cecelia C. Jasper was born in Walsenburg, Colorado on July 28, 1926.

She died peacefully in the presence of her son in Seattle, Washington on February 3, 2011 at age 84.

Cecelia graduated from Loretta Heights college in Denver, CO with a degree in chemistry and a teaching certificate. Then taught high school science in Denver, CO. After moving to Seattle in 1963 she worked for the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center as a medical research technician.

She served on the Clinical Review Board for Group Health Cooperative. She was a member of the Washington state democrats and was a delegate to the democratic national convention in 1976.

She was a accomplished bridge player and had a passion for gardening and a great appreciation for art and life and the ones she loved. Spirited and outgoing she touched many hearts. She was a strong believer in the Catholic Church.

Devoted daughter to predeceased Beatrice and Delfino [Valdez] Esquibel of CO. Predeceased by husband, Russell H. Jasper of WA.

Cecelia is survived by children, Mary P., Steven P., Norma J., Jasper of WA; brother, Edward V. Esquibel M.D., his wife Lillian and nieces, Amanda and Ramona Esquibel of FL., former wife Elaine Esquibel mother of nieces and nephews Cyndi, Allen, Jimmy, Roxanne Esquibel of CO.; grandchildren, Granada and Garcia Harris-Jasper of WA; and numerous cousins and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 900 35th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122 on February 12 at 11:00 a.m.

Remembrances may be sent to Children's Orthopedic Hospital or Washington Association of Mentally Ill in lieu of flowers.
