EDNA MENTCH Obituary
She was born in Eastsound, Washington on August 1, 1919 to parents Ralph and Elizabeth (O'Neil) Bachert.
Edna married Charles E. Mentch in February 1945, and passed away in 1992 after 47 years of marriage.
Edna was active for many years in the American Legion Auxiliary and was a past Commander.
Edna previously lost two brothers, Norman and Alfred Bachert, and is now survived by sister, Hazel Gubser, and many nephews and nieces.
A graveside farewell will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday September 26, 2009 at the Olga-Doe Bay Cemetery, with a reception following at the Orcas American Legion.
Donations in Edna's name may be made to the Auxiliary or to Skagit County Hospice.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Edna, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.
