Daryle Holmstrom, devoted and much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, passed away suddenly early Saturday morning, October 26, 2013 at the age of 65 at his home in Mount Vernon with his wife by his side.

Daryle, a Mount Vernon native born to Verner and Virgie, was a 1966 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and an avid outdoorsman with passions for bow hunting, fly fishing, archery, and metal detecting. He was also an accomplished amateur photographer through which he developed many friendships near and far.
Daryle was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War after which he worked at the Anacortes plywood mill and then fished commercially until he retired. He also was a 28 year member of the Elks.
Daryle was preceded in death by his parents Verner & Virgie and brother Greg.
He is survived by Cheryl, his loving wife of 44 years, son and daughter-in-law Jason & Randi and their children Trista and Alycia and grandchildren Alex, Jeremiah, and Elijah, Daughter Nicole and her children Justin & Kacie, Brother & sister-in-law Jerry & Mary, sister Viola, and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family plans to have a private gathering to celebrate Daryle's life at a later date.
