David A. Linde, a sixty year resident of the Mount Vernon/Conway area, passed away January 3, 2013 in Bellingham, WA. He was 63 years old.

David was born in Springfield, Minnesota on May 30, 1949 to August and Gladys Linde.
His family moved to the Skagit Valley in 1952 where he was raised in Conway. After graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1967, David attended and graduated from the University of Washington in 1971.
Following his graduation, with a degree in International Business, David came back to the valley to open Linde Insurance in 1971 which he still owned and operated at the time of his death 41 years later. The first location of his business was in the old Mount Vernon Mall. It moved to its current location in 1977.
He married his high school sweetheart Jean Eldridge in October 1972. They just celebrated 40 years together. David took much pride in his children and grandchildren. They spent several vacations in Sunriver, the San Juans on the family boat, and Disneyland. He and the family looked forward to their seafood feasts and ice cream outings.
He was an avid Husky sports fan, having football tickets for over 25 years. David gave his time to the youth of Mount Vernon coaching various stages of baseball for over 20 years. A number of summers were spent at Sherman Anderson and various locations throughout the state.
David is survived by his wife, Jean; his son, Brian Linde and wife Amanda; daughters, Jennifer Linde and Jill Morphy and husband Bill Morphy. He is also survived by his five wonderful grandchildren whom he adored: Makenna, William, Wyatt, Bristol, and Jaycee.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Linde; father, August Linde; brother, Charles Brazle; and sister, Diana Moriano.
The Linde family would like to send a special thank you to the following: Dr. Moss, Dr. Lombard and their staff at Mount Baker Nephrology, St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham, and the staff at the Skagit Kidney Center. We are grateful for the remarkable care that was always given to our husband/dad. You not only helped him but you helped us as well.
Please join David's family in a public reception Wednesday, January 9th at Fir Conway Lutheran Church at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A private burial for the family will be held. Memorials may be made to the Skagit Valley Kidney Center, 108 South 14th Street, Mount Vernon, WA, 98274, The Elliott W. Johnson Endowment for Cancer Patient & Caregiver Support, 1003 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA, 98274.
