Glenn Gerald Kallstrom, 81, was born in Mount Vernon, Washington on August 6th, 1931 to Carl and Ada Kallstrom.

He was preceded in death by sisters Ruth (Schrader) and Shirley (Omdahl) and sibling sister Gladys.
His grandparents emmigrated from Sweden. Glenn went to elementary school and high school in Mount Vernon, graduating in 1950 with a scholarship to WSU for football before joining the U.S. Coast Guard for three years.
He married Patricia Kirn in December 12, 1953. This would have been their 60th anniversary.
He is survived by wife Patricia, three sons and their spouses which include Mark and Elaine (with children Kent, Gunnar and wife Brooke with great-grandson Blake, Elizabeth and Grant), Mike and Sandy (with children Kael and husband Justin and great-grandchildren Elias and Acacia, Kristen, Kimberly and husband Caleb, Zachary, Joshua and Kaitlyn), Ted and Stacia (with children Macrey, Samuel and Kohl), and their daughter Heidi and Pastor Don Vorhees (with children Charity and Joseph).
Glenn dairy farmed with his parents in Mount Vernon for a few years and then moved his family to Port Orchard where he leased a dairy for 10 years. His last move was to Ephrata where he purchased and farmed his dairy for 40 years until he retired to Blue Lake.
He spent the last 21 months at Columbia Basin Hospital, Ephrata, WA, where he passed away on April 29, 2013.
Glenn's greatest joys were his family and friends. He adored each grand and great-grandchild and made them all feel as though they were his favorite. He enjoyed traveling, hard work and visiting friends. Glen was a big man with a big heart. Glen will be deeply missed, but we know he is basking in his Savior's presence.
Memorial services will be held this Friday, May 3, 2013 at 4:30 pm at Community Church of Ephrata at 54 K St SE Ephrata, WA 98823. Graveside service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, 17666 Valentine Road, LaConner, WA, on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 1:30pm.
