James "Jim" Marx went to meet the good Lord at age 76 years in Quilcene, WA on Dec. 28, 2012.

He was born January 17, 1936, in Watertown, South Dakota to Tony and Agnes (McMahon) Marx. He attended grade school in South Dakota, and his high school years at St. Edward's Seminary in Kenmore, WA. He was an "A" student throughout his schooling years and proceeded on with college at Gonzaga University and University of Washington. He was employed for many years at Boeing and retired to live in Sedro-Woolley.

He loved this area for its beautiful mountains and flowers, especially the tulips, always introducing his visitors to these special places. He enjoyed camping and hiking all his life and chose this county in which he could enjoy the use of these spaces.

Jim is survived by brothers, Bob (Evelyn) Marx and Jack (Galina) Marx; sisters, Eileen (Ray) Miller and Anita Teague; ten nieces and nephews.

A younger sister, Kathy Heitner was deceased in 2008.

Jim's nephew, Philip and his wife, Colleen Miller have generously given the past two months to his care.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00, PM, Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley, with Father Martin Bourke celebrating.
