Lucille Irene Bernick, born on June 22, 1918, at a relative's home in Burlington, WA, passed away on her 95th birthday, June 22, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Lucille was the first of two daughters born to William and Minnie Gill. She lived her entire life in Burlington.
She met her husband Leo Bernick, while visiting an aunt in California, and the were united in marriage on November 29, 1941.
Lucille was a wife and mother to her two children, Arnold and Linda, and worked in the nursery industry, retiring from Cleave's Greenhouse. She was a member of the Willing Workers, the Jessie Miller Orthopedic Guild, Christian Endearer, Rainbow Girls, Burlington Eagles and the St. Charles Catholic Church.
Aside from being a huge Mariner's fan, she loved bingo, which she still attended twice a week, needlework, crafts, reading and flowers.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents William and Minnie Gill, her husband Leo Bernick, and her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Bernick.
She is survived by her sister June Rhoads, her son Arnold Bernick and daughter Linda Maxfield, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

Viewing will be held from 9am until 5pm on Thursday, June 27, and from 9am until 11 am on June 28, at Hulbush Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held, however a memorial mass at St Charles Catholic Church will be announced at a later date.
