Ralph Esary, son of the late Clarence and Edith Esary, born May 20th 1942 in Mt. Vernon, WA. passed away May 18, 2013 at his home in Bow, WA.

Ralph attended Burlington-Edison High School and after graduating, joined the US Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. He was a true Marine and took so much pride in serving honestly and faithfully. He continued his physical fitness through the years and was always in such exceptional physical shape. He also continued his love for cooking, sharing recipes with family and friends. Semper Fi Marine!

Ralph then became a member of the Local 302 Union in 1970 as a heavy equipment operator. Throughout his career he worked for companies in the Skagit Valley including, Erkes, Snelson, Trico and spent some time on the Pipe Line in Alaska. He also served as a Business Agent for the Local 302. He was member to the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Eagles, Shriners and Scottish Rite.

Ralph enjoyed spending time with his wife Priscilla, together gardening and creating a beautiful landscape at their home, traveling and spending time in SanDiego, proudly attending the numerous sport events that his grandchildren participated in, and adored time spent with his great-granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Priscilla; son, Ralph and his wife Amy (Sheahan) and their three sons, Reece, Alex and Austin of Stanwood; daughter, Shawn and her husband Delane Wright and their son Colby and daughter Mercedes and great-granddaughter Ryan of Anacortes; brother, Dave and his wife Nancy (Knutzen) of Burlington, sister, Nancy Rimmer of LaConner, sister, PeeWee and husband Tom McGehee of Bow, sister, Sally and husband Roger Crawford of SedroWoolley and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph will always be remembered for his sense of humor and for being a truly honest man with upmost integrity. Our family was so blessed to have had this amazing man in our lives.

Per Ralph's request a funeral service will not be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
