Theresa Ann Chason, 62, of Sedro Woolley, passed away on Thursday February 20th. Theresa was born on August 9th 1951 to Charles and Ruth Cressey in Seattle, Washington.

Theresa graduated from the University of Washington with a Masters degree in nursing. Much of her career was spent as an emergency room nurse at United General Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital. After retiring, Theresa volunteered time to colleges as a teaching assistant sharing her experience and knowledge in the field of patient care.
During her lifetime Theresa showed her beloved horses and was an accomplished marathon runner. Theresa's great love for animals led her to volunteer at the Skagit Valley Humane Society.
Theresa is survived by her son, Alex Anderson (Lisa) of Burlington; brother Christopher Cressey (Thess) of Snohomish; sister Linda Powell of Orlando, Florida, grandson Jaxon Anderson and nephew Christopher James Cressey. Long time companion Jay Hurlburt, of Sedro Woolley, also survives her.
