Aaron Matthew Hernandez was born May 1, 1984 in Anchorage AK. He died Friday, March 14, 2014 in Seattle WA. When he was 5 months old he joined Jerry and Annie Hernandez in Bow, WA. Sister Amanda arrived the next year and their family was complete.

He attended school in the Burlington Edison school district where he was active in soccer and Little League for many years. He attended Skagit Valley College to complete his GED.

Aaron loved traveling and adventure. He moved to Cheyenne, WY and Fort Collins, CO when he was 19. He also lived briefly in Virginia Beach, VA and Las Vegas, NV before returning to Skagit Valley.

He worked as a merchandiser with his father in the grocery business where he made many acquaintances and good friends. In 2013 he went to work for Starbucks and moved to Juanita Beach where he resided until his death.

Aaron was a social butterfly and loved making friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed snowboarding, spending time at the beach, boating, music, movies and the casino.

He loved his Starbucks family and all his numerous friends, you know who you are. You will never know how important you were to him.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Jerry & Annie Hernandez of Bow, sister Amanda Hernandez of Kirkland, maternal grandparents Jim & Margie Zimmerman of Bayview, Uncles Morris Hernandez (Val) of Sumner, Ron Hernandez (Cheryl) of Mount Vernon, Tony Hernandez (Margie) of Sedro Woolley, Jim Hernandez (Gale) of LaConner, Lionel Hernandez (Samantha) of Mount Vernon, Tom Zimmerman (Judy) of LaConner, aunts Nancy Alvord (Dave) of Mount Vernon, Belinda Torseth (Ken) of Mount Vernon, Anita Roozen (Mike) of Mount Vernon, Laura Powers (Cam) of Sedro Woolley, Alison Bailey of Seattle and Susan Hernandez of Sedro Woolley. He is also survived by many cousins who he loved dearly along with several great-aunts and uncles and great-cousins.

Aaron was predeceased by his maternal grandmothers Mary Ann Zimmerman, maternal great-grandparents George and Nadine Peth and Ed and Stella Zimmerman, his paternal grandparents Morris & Mercedes Hernandez and paternal great-grandparents Mike Lopez, Juan & Librada Hernandez, his Uncle Mike Hernandez and cousin Brian Hernandez.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Bayview Community Hall, 12615 "C" Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
