Alvaro Serrano, also known as Spooky, age 33, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 23, 2012.

He was born on July 19, 1978 in Tijuana, Mexico, but has resided in Washington State since he was a baby.

Spooky worked many different odds jobs. Most recently he worked as a car detailer out of his home. He loved working on and fixing up low rider cars.

He went to Ferndale High School and spent his younger years in the Grandview, WA area.

He was a beloved husband, father and son. Even though sometimes it was hard to get him to smile for pictures, he was quick to smile in person. He was loved and adored by many people, he will be greatly missed.

Spooky was preceded in death by his grandparents, Natividad Zepeda Cervantes & Carmen Zepeda Garibay, Miguel Serrano & Eladia Garibay; his siblings, Alma Serrano & Marisol Cesar and his niece, Heaven Castaneda Serrano.

Spooky leaves behind his wife, Erin and their three children, Christian, Isaac, & Alysiana; his parents, Angelita Serrano-Zepeda & Miguel Serrano-Garibay; niece's, Cassandra Serrano and Samantha Serrano Perez; his mother & father-in-law, Rhoda & Tim Haussler; his sister-in-law, Rianne Chase & her fiancé Trevor Vance; niece, Ally; his brother, Victor (Michelle) Serrano & their four children, Jasmine, Aracelly, Gissele & Victor Jr.; his sister, Vanessa (Carlos) Castaneda & their three children, Alma Monique, Bianca, & Carlos Jr., and his, brother Miguel Serrano. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends & family; familia Zepeda, Garibay, Serrano, & Fernandez.

Spooky was a caring person with a big heart. He was fun spirited. He was always trying to make someone laugh but serious at times. He loved spending time with the family, going camping, on hikes, to the beach, spending time outdoors and hanging with the kids. He will be deeply missed by more people then we can imagine. He was most happy being busy. He was our go to guy if we needed help with anything like your car washed or detailed. If you needed help moving, fixing anything, yard work, painting, working on your trailer, he was always there with a smile and quick to help out wherever and whenever. He was quiet, and did not talk much till he got to know you, but then he was a chatter box.

"Thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, with which I will never part. God has you in his keeping. I have you in my heart."

Viewing for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 27th and Wednesday the 28th from 9 to 5, followed by a Memorial Service on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 3:00pm at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley.

A Celebration of Life will be held after the service at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles. Share memories of Alvaro and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com
