Carolyn Ann Johnson Paulson passed away on May 12, 2012 in Burlington, Washington. She was born on May 29, 1916 to Andrew & Anne Johnson in Aiken, Minnesota. She was just two weeks shy of her 96th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and 4 siblings: Clifford, Myrtle, Margaret, Myron.
Carolyn, as a young girl, moved with her family from Minnesota to Everett, Washington and graduated from Everett High School. She married Roy A. Woolcock in 1937 and had 3 sons, Michael, Ronald, & Patrick.
Carolyn met John Paulson in 1966, and they were married on Valentine's Day in 1967. Carolyn and John owned and operated the world famous Chuckanut Manor restaurant located in Bow, Washington. In 1992 they retired and moved to Sun City West, Arizona to enjoy the sunshine, play golf and be with friends.
Carolyn's hobbies were taking care of her home, entertaining friends and shopping, which she did exceptionally well. She was a Christian and a member of His Place Community Church in Burlington and the Palm Community Church in Sun City West, AZ. In November 2011, John & Carolyn moved back to Burlington to be near family.
In their many years of marriage, John & Carolyn were able to travel to all 50 states and spent many of their summers on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska enjoying her flowers & vegetable garden.
Carolyn is survived by her husband John Paulson, sons Michael (Lorraine) Woolcock of Anchorage, Alaska; Ronald (Georgine) Woolcock of Olympia, Washington and Patrick (Lois) Woolcock of Bellingham, Washington. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and all of us will miss her kind ways and her sweet smile.
