Chelsea Dawn Anderson, born May 6, 1971, passed away February 13, 2009 due to complications of pneumonia.
The Guest Book is expired.
Her spirit continued to fight hard but, after fighting the effects of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis for almost thirty-five years, her body was too tired. Now, her life continues as the angel that all who knew her believed her to be.
Chelsea was born in Anacortes, Washington to Keith and Donna Anderson. Her porcelain skin and bright blue eyes captivated all who met her from her first breath. She was third in line of five girls and big sister to her only brother Jakob. At eighteen months old, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and her courageous, lifelong battle began. Her body did not allow her to do all the things she wanted but it did not stop her from doing all that she could.
She loved to sing, write, take long drives, and chase tornadoes when she lived in Kansas. There was little in life that she feared. All who were blessed to be a part of her life knew of the purity of her heart and the kindness she gave so freely. Her loved ones take comfort knowing that she is in heaven running, riding a bicycle, dancing, jumping and free from a body that held her captive all of her life.
Chelsea was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Vance and Wanda Anderson, and Donald Taylor.
She is survived by her parents, Keith and Donna Anderson; sisters, Wendy Lawrence (Michael), Elizabeth Dixon (Brent), Johanna Anderson (Anthony), Megan Smith (Nathaniel); brother, Jakob Anderson; grandparents, Wilma and Lyle Kuhns; twelve nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Memorials in Chelsea's name may be made to the Anacortes Public Library, Anacortes Soroptimist Club, the

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Anacortes Lutheran Church with Pastors Debra Benson and Chris Anderson officiating.
