Donald L. "Don" Christensen, Jr., 60, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Northwest Hospital in Seattle.

Don was born on May 22, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Donald L. and Sally (Larson) Christensen, Sr. The family
moved to West Seattle when Don was a child and there he was raised and attended school.

In June of 1971 he enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He was involved in the military assistance during the Israeli hostage conflict during the 1972 Olympics in Munich.

After his discharge in 1974 he made his home in San Francisco, CA and it was there that he met Roberta Gann, and they were united in marriage in 1981. They made their home in San Francisco and San Jose, CA until settling in Sedro-Woolley in 1989.

Don worked for the Alice Kaiser Company as a sales representative in the hospital supply industry for a few years, then in 1994 began working for the Hexcel Corporation in Burlington as a shipping associate.

In his leisure time Don enjoyed camping with his family, riding his motorcycle and taking his dogs to the river for a swim.

Don is survived by his wife of 32 years, Roberta, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley; his son, David of Sedro-Woolley; his daughter, Danielle of Atascadero, CA, and his grandson, Micah; his mother, Sally Christensen of Seattle; his brother, Rusty Christensen of Seattle; two sisters, Cindy Allen of Darrington and Terry McLaughlin and her husband Brad of Concrete and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Christensen, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. A potluck fellowship will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
