DONNA IMES Obituary

A beautiful loving lady left our arms January 13, 2011 to be in God's care. Donna Imes, 81, was born April 14, 1929 in Mansfield, OH, the daughter of Kenneth and Thelma Hehr.

She married Raymond Oliver Imes in Mount Vernon, WA on March 17, 1949 and they spent most of their lives in Skagit Valley, aside from the four years they spent commercial fishing in Alaska.

They raised their two sons in Skagit Valley and opened their dream, RODJI Music Store, which they ran for many years. From jam sessions to lessons to helping the kids with their instruments for school, it was always a hang out for the young and old alike, and the joy of their lives.

They moved to Nampa, ID around 1990 to enjoy their retired lives together fishing, camping, and enjoying hobbies like making and selling jewelry.

Her husband of 51 years, Raymond, passed away October 23, 2000 and was inurned and laid to rest with her on January 18, 2011 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa, ID.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her grandson Jeremy Imes.

She is survived by her brother Kenneth Hehr & sister/caretaker Brenda Carpenter; her sons Kevin & Kurt Imes; her daughter-in-law Dawn Imes; four grandchildren, Chris, David, Kylie, & Lindsey; four great-grandchildren, Jaylie, Kyla, Hadley Jean, & Alisha; nieces & nephews Todd & Debbie Harris, Lori & Caleb Waters, Jessica & Jonathan Gormsen, Cody Harris, Rhiannon and Casey Waters, and a great-great niece Jordan Faith who wrote and sang a song for her at her funeral service.

Condolences may be sent to Donna Imes' family at 1111 7th Street, North; Nampa, ID 83687.
