Estella passed away on May 16, 2012, at her home on Camano Island.

She was born to William & Louise Rarick on August 3, 1933, at Everson WA. She attended Clearbrook & Sumas Elementary Schools and graduated from Nooksack Valley High School.

After moving to Bellingham she was employed by Penney's, Inc. for a short time before securing employment with Dept of Social & Health Services, where she advanced to clerical department supervisor.

In 1958 she married Russell Allen. Together they pastored Glad Tidings Church for 9 years while continuing their employment. They both took early retirement when it was offered by the state.

They founded a Bible School at Glad Tidings Church, Vancouver, B.C. & taught there for 5 years. Next, they taught in Chilliwack B.C. for 3 years.

They moved to Camano Island in 1980 & 2 yrs later began pastoring at Chapel of Praise. They were avid students, memorizing whole books of the Bible. Stell earned a Bachelor of Theology degree. She was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, loving God & serving people. Russ & Stell were currently leading a home church.

Estella is survived by her husband, Russell; one sister, Shirley (John) Tollefson, Mount Vernon; niece, Shanna (Tim) Brooks, their 2 daughters, Chelsee' (Woody) Hurless, & Kayla Brooks, Kamuela, Hawaii; nephew Jeffrey Tollefson, LaConner, & his 2 children, Travis & Morgan.

A service will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 11 AM, at Hawthorne Funeral Home, followed by burial & reception. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LOVE INC of Skagit County, PO Box 2057, Mount Vernon WA 98273.
