Gerald Floyd Faller passed away suddenly on October 2, 2012 at home. He was 70 years old. Gerald was born October 1, 1942 to Floyd and Veda (Schroeder) Faller. Gerald spent his entire life in the Skagit Valley. He grew up on a dairy farm with his brother and sister, and attended Mount Vernon Schools, graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1960.

Gerald was employed as a truck driver for Skagit Valley Trucking and Stanwood Ready Mix. After his marriage to Susan Lennartz in 1980, he and Susan purchased D&D Grocery and ran it until retirement.
Gerald loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a fun grandpa as well as a source of sage advice. He will be best remembered for his quick wit, and his ability to fix anything and everything.
Gerald spent years researching his family history resulting in an extensive archival collection. Gerald also enjoyed his lapidary hobby, always with head down looking for the perfect rock to polish.
Gerald is survived by his wife Susan; daughter Denise (Glen) Connor; son Aaron Faller; grandsons Jacob and Benjamin Faller; granddaughter Jasmine Reppen; brother Glen (Melinda) Faller; sister Ruth (Steve) Rowe; stepdaughters Sherry (Matt) Thostenson, Julie Lennartz-Reppen and Gerald's special friend, Betty Pimentel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Shelli Faller.
Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon, and at Gerald's request, his service will be private for his family.
