She was born January 15, 1926, the youngest of 13 children in Rolette, North Dakota to Christopher Soine and Marie Antoinette Petersen.

What meant most to her was her family. They often referred to her as "Telephone, telegraph, and tell-a-Grama" as she was the main artery that ran thru the family, keeping everyone in touch.
Her children are Katheryn Anderson, Christie (Robert) Frank, Douglas (Liz) Talsma, Joyce (Bruce) Wynn (deceased), and Arthur (Liz Decker) Talsma and dear daughter-in-law Sharon Talsma. Her grandchildren are Margaret (John) Larezos-Grove, Mia (Kyle) Larezos-Derrick, Michael (Christi) Ziegler, Jason (Gina) Wynn, John Talsma, Brenda (Billie) Talsma-Bergess, Tanya Talsma-Miziere, Brandon (Katie) Talsma, and Heather Frank. She had 8 dearly loved great-grandchildren.
She attended Pacific Lutheran University and completed her Associates Degree at Moraine Valley Community College. She worked for Midwest Operating Engineers as an Administrative Assistant for many years. She was talented in sewing, played golf and obtained her private pilot's license. She also enjoyed shopping at Nordstrom with the girls. She believed in giving back to various organizations such as Relay for Life, the Salvation Army, and the USO. She attended Messiah Lutheran Church, Vancouver, WA.
Ms. Gedmin will be laid to rest in Fir-Conway Lutheran Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, WA.
